014 Encounter with Hokusai in Germany
The Hokusai-Retrospective opened in August 2011 in Berlin, marking 150 years of German-Japanese friendship.
This exhibition in Germany was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the whole world of Hokusai, bringing together the Hokusai Manga (Hokusai Sketches) and self-portrait that have been carefully stored in Europe, and a collection of over 400 pieces from Japan.
